A Disciplined Life

Most of us could agree that discipline is a “must” in order to gain success in which ever field it may be.

But very few of us have taken the time to observe and acknowledge the typical way that discipline works within our lives.

A number of people think that I have a disciplined life.

It may seem that way, even with closer inspection.

But, I’ve realized that I don't actually need much discipline at all to achieve whatever I’m striving for.

I simply needed enough discipline to establish a new pattern and just ONE new pattern at a time..

Then the functioning of this new habit will be governed by the subtler levels of my mind.

What I realized to be most essential in this process was the deciding of just ONE habit/ability that was most important to me.

Then to use whatever bit of discipline and will power I had and aim it directly towards this one goal.

What is most important to you?

Is it important enough for you to give it your complete focus?

Complete focus, for just long enough for it to become second nature, for your goal to become completely effortless.

Most of our Will Power is wasted by distracted awareness, of having too much on ones plate.

The true issue is rarely one of not having enough discipline to accomplish your goals.

The issue is that you just don't have enough discipline to accomplish ALL of your Goals... AT THE SAME TIME!

Yogic practices teach us how to concentrate our awareness.

When applied with the above understanding of the use of “discipline”,  yogic practices become our key to effortless mastery.

Mastery of ANY and ALL areas of existence that we could ever wish to explore.
